I golf once or twice a week all summer in Michigan and this rangefinder does a great job. No it doesn't lock onto the pin or determine your slope and no it won't swing the golf club for you either. If you want a distance from A to B, it's perfect. Highly recommend.

Great range finder for bow hunting (not to be used for long-range rifle hunting or golf...keep reading to see why)! The optic is clear and it ranges accurately in an open field (where I initially tested) and from my tree climber (before I bought this I had my yardage marked with different color engineer tape...this range finder confirmed my measurements and proved that this range finder was accurate). It won't range through branches or brush (even expensive ones don't do that) so you need to range an open area.
This range finder does not have a backlight so if it is dusk or dawn it is difficult to read the yardage marker (since the font is black). However, the rangefinder does work at dusk or dawn so if you have something with light coloring (a corn pile or something) to contrast with you will still be able to read the yardage (the yardage stays on the screen for a couple of seconds so you can range something dark and then swivel to a contrasting color and read the numbers).
It was accurate +/- 1 yd up to 65 yds (that's the max distance I tested because I'm not a good enough shot to shoot any further than that with a bow). Many reviews state that this will not range deer up to 600 yds...that is TRUE...but this range finder isn't meant to range deer up to 600 yds. Look at the photo I attached and you will see that this product is only rated at 200 yds for deer ranging. I'm not sure why this isn't made clear on this page but this range finder won't work for long-distance rifle hunting or golf. And honestly, if you are attempting to shoot deer at 400-600 yds then you should probably invest in higher end range finder. This isn't intended to be a top of the line range finder. This is a budget range finder that works really well for bow hunting.

It's great. I've used this several times out bow hunting. It hasn't given me any problems. I picked this up while it was a gold box deal one day. Make sure you read the directions or check out the website about this product. Any thing over 200 yards requires a "reflective" surface for this rangefinder to range it properly. Don't give it a poor review because you can't read. It works as well as my father-in-law's more expensive brand.

I do a lot of target shooting, so this saves a lot of time and money when sighting-in new optics / firearms. It is lightweight and easy to carry in it's nylon case . Simple to operate. Also very useful for Golf and Photography. I've seen other Rangefinders costing three-times as much that do not work as well. I trust Simmons for rifle scopes , so I naturally trust their rangefinder.

It is a little slow in delivering the first reading, but subsequent readouts are fast. Also they claim (in the manual I think) that the battery lasts about a year. If that is true for low usage, it seems a little short. But this product at this price point is great.

Perfect for golf. Don't pay 600 bucks for a rangefinder

Works as advertised. I have been happy using this for hunting. I have been able to easily range out to 400 yards. I usually just find a tree or stump to hit it against. For the money I would say it's great!

Awesome Laser Rangefinder this thing I got it on a special deal they had it for $59 I wish I could get it for that again like it better than my cousins high-dollar Nikon I have checked it multiple ranges and walked it off to ensure accuracy and 99% of the time it's dead on

Great on the golf course. Works best with flags with the reflectors on the flagstick. I use it for inside 225 longer and I'm laying up anyway. Easy and reliable. Don't pay extra for golf brands.
